How to get to the Minghella Film Festival

The festival is based in Newport on the Isle of Wight - Anthony's birthplace. Events are spread across two venues, Cineworld and the Quay Arts Centre (home to the Anthony Minghella Theatre). Both venues are centrally located and within easy walking distance of each other.

The Isle of Wight is easily accessible for mainland and international visitors. From London, the journey to the main ferry ports takes as little as 90 minutes.

Wightlink, our sponsors, provide fast and comfortable passenger and car ferry services to the Island from Portsmouth and Lymington. Further hovercraft and ferry services are available from Southsea and Southampton respectively.

Southern Vectis provides the island's bus services and can provide transport from ferry terminals to festival events. Taxis are also readily available from foot passenger arrival points.

Venues and access

All our venues are fully accessible for wheelchair users and we recommend wheelchair positions are booked in advance. Fixed induction loops for the hard of hearing are also available at the Quay Arts Centre.

Plentiful parking, including blue badge parking, is available near both venues.

Our venues also offer light bites and liquid refreshments to keep you going in between events.
